Bromyc B.V. is a full subsidiary of C4C Holding B.V.
 Bromyc B.V. exploits licences of a number of spawn species and sees to it that the licence fees from the "Horst-spawn species" are collected. They play an initiating part with respect to the research for the mushroom sector.

Bromyc finances the development of new spawn species and other research for the benefit of the mushroom sector from the available money.
Well-known species which Bromyc B.V. has under licence at the moment are U1 and the sporeless oyster mushroom Spoppo.

Research is mainly carried out by PRI/DLO at Wageningen.

Important projects which are now running are:

• Joint financing of the development of mushrooms which are impervious to bruising, a four-year project which is supported by the government through TTI Groene Genetica, carried out by PRI/DLO at Wageningen.
• Participation in support groups / supporting of various STW-projects with reference to the cultivation of mushrooms at the University of Utrecht.
