In 2003 a joint venture originated between the cooperations Agrifirm U.A. and CNC U.A. carrying the name CNC Agricompost B.V. The directors of the enterprise are Mr A.P. Wals on behalf of Agrifirm and T.J. van Wijk on behalf of CNC. CNC Agricompost falls directly under CNC Grondstoffen B.V. and a number of companies of Agrifirm and CNC have been incorporated: the compost company in Wouterswoude, the tunnel company in Ammerzoden and the mushroom farm in Ammerzoden.
In the compost company Indoor Verse Compost IVC® was produced until the middle of 2005. At the moment this company is being leased out. In the tunnel company in Ammerzoden the production of spawnable and full-grown compost takes place.
CNC Grondstoffen B.V. manages the activities to be carried out. Besides that, CNC Grondstoffen B.V. is responsible for the sale of full-grown compost.
The production capacity is approximately 500 tonnes of full-grown compost a week.
The farm is leased out to a third party for their own account.
Agrifirm U.A. is a cooperation of businesses in agriculture, horticulture and cattle breeding. The field of activity covers the west, middle and north-east of the Netherlands and a part of Germany. Agrifirm has over 17,000 active members and the head office is in Meppel.
The Coöperatieve Nederlandse Champignonkwekersvereniging U.A. is a cooperation of mushroom growers with 200 members. The core activities are the supply of raw materials and services for the benefit of the cultivation of mushrooms and the processing of mushrooms. The head office of CNC is in Milsbeek.
