Welcome at C4C Holding B.V.

The cooperation CNC U.A. is 100 percent shareholder of C4C Holding B.V. As the organisation chart demonstrates, C4C Holding B.V. consists of various companies which are all related to the mushroom sector.
The members of the Board of the cooperation CNC U.A. are Frans Brienen, Cor Beerepoot, René van Dongen, Leo Koolen and Maurice Willems. These board members are also part of the Board of Directors of C4C Holding B.V. Rob Schipper, Rian Verwoert en Johan Plageman are also members of the Board of Directors of C4C Holding B.V.
The general management of C4C Holding B.V.consists of Tom van Wijk (manager CNC Grondstoffen B.V.), Godert Tegelberg (manager Lutèce B.V.) and Ger Gasseling (financial manager).

In 2008 the name CNC Holding B.V. changed into C4C Holding B.V. The main reason for this change of name was the need for one common flag under which the subsidiary companies of the holding could operate. The former name had an explicit link with CNC Grondstoffen B.V., one of the subsidiary companies. The structure of the Board of directors of CNC was also altered.

The Board of the cooperation controls the business in main lines, whereas the management plays an important part in an operational way. Due to the change in structure in 2008, the decision making process which is at the basis of a healthy cooperation with a sound future has become more transparent. Because the Board is more at a distance, the management is free to operate in the market in a businesslike and alert way. This is important to be able to deal with the competition with other companies, now and in the future.
The new company structure has yielded a number of resounding results: an increased unequivocality in the leadership of CNC Grondstoffen and Lutèce, and the professionalism within the cooperation has improved on all levels.
Cooperation business has now been separated more clearly from company activities. The commercial activities towards clients and suppliers are now in the hands of the management. The business plans for the medium and long term, which are made by the management, have to fit in with the long term strategy of the cooperation. Finally, the members determine the long term strategy.
The cooperation culture has become more businesslike and the distinction with respect to commercial companies has almost disappeared. C4C distinguishes itself in the market with two advantages which are related to the cooperative membership power of control and financial advantage. The financial advantage is expressed, for instance, in the fact that a member shares in the profit of the cooperation.

In the present structure there is a voluntary members’ loan instead of the former obligatory participation in the members’ loan. On the one hand the obligatory members’ loan was considered commercially problematic by the managements of CNC Grondstoffen and Lutèce. On the other hand,   the members have become increasingly more businesslike. In the new voluntary members’ loan, members can participate in the profits to a greater extent. The members’ loan as a means of financing is more interesting for the members due to the link to the participation reserve and to any repayment of advance prices.

The general meeting is the highest organ within the cooperation. The members determine the long term strategy of the cooperation, for instance when it concerns expansion or internationalisation. In the end, the members also determine what happens with the achieved financial results.
