Lutèce Holding B.V. is a full subsidiary of C4C Holding B.V. Lutèce B.V. is a modern, market-oriented organisation specialised in processing mushrooms into a wide range of products. Lutèce B.V. is a completely independent company which strives for a long and reciprocal profitable relationship with the clients.

Company profile:

Lutèce B.V. consists of two production companies (in Horst and Velden) and a central depot (Venlo), in which every year more than 100 million kilos of mushrooms are processed, from 70 qualified growers. The annual turnover is 160 million Euros. The fresh, selected mushrooms are processed within 24 hours and more often even within 12 hours into 45 different, non-perishable products in jars, cans, buckets and polybags, which are exported worldwide to more than 50 countries. Lutèce employs approximately 275 people.

Nearly a century of experience:

Since 1910 Lutèce has been a reliable supplier of high-quality mushrooms; initially of only fresh mushrooms, but as from 1955 also of mushroom products. Now, a century later, Lutèce is one of the largest in Europe when it concerns mushroom products and is worldwide at the top when quality and innovation are concerned. Experience and professionalism make Lutèce a reliable partner both for the trade and the industry.

Lutèce is the largest producer of preserved mushrooms in Europe.
The products are sold on the retail and food service market as well as to industrial customers in more than 50 countries worldwide.

Lutèce stands for 'honest and sensible', with passion for our products. We want to radiate taste and quality in everything that we do and we want to inspire our users to use our products in various ways and at various moments.

Artisan passion:

Mushrooms are pure and natural products. They are a very special foodstuff and are grown, harvested, selected and processed with care, skill and passion the whole year through. This is reflected in the balanced range of products for specific needs of the retail market, foodservice and industrial clients.

The passion and quality is also reflected in the packaging line: the promise of daily fresh, of personal attention. As if you are at your local vegetable stall on the market. Packaging with a hand-written message: from Lutèce, for you.

Modern innovation power:

For years the processing of this pure and natural product into the ideal ingredient for every kitchen, for any moment, has been the specialised subject of Lutèce. User friendliness, taste and quality are essential for this; as is a socially responsible way of doing business. Lutèce is continually optimising its products, processes and techniques and expanding its market with a trend setting range of products.

Natural quality:

Lutèce wants to retain the taste, colour and texture which make the mushroom so unique, as completely as possible in its products. The quality check begins at the farms from which the mushrooms are obtained; actually, even before that. Therefore all suppliers have to be GlobalGAP-certified. This system guarantees a complete transparency with respect to raw materials and cultivation methods.

The production process is strictly monitored by our own quality service in accordance with ISO-, HACCP-, BRC-, IFS- and SKAL-standards. Audits by independent organisations and improvement teams ensure further optimisation of the products and production processes.

A modern product with a future:

The mushroom is rich in functional nutrients and low in calories. This is a combination which perfectly suits the present-day consumer's preference for tasteful and healthy food. The answer of Lutèce to this is a wide range of surprising and easy-to-prepare mushroom products. Continuous research into trends and wishes in the market allows Lutèce to react quickly and effectively. On a European level Lutèce stimulates a communal promotion campaign for the consumption of mushrooms and fungi. The emphasis is on information so consumers are even more aware of how tasty and healthy the mushroom is and how easily it can be adopted into their eating pattern.
